Apple has bolstered its efforts to win customers over to the iPhone by offering trade-ins for other manufacturer’s devices.
As rumoured earlier this month, Apple has officially expanded its Reuse and Recycle program to include handsets running Android, BlackBerry and Windows devices.
Previously the firm had only accepted iOS devices to encourage upgrades to the latest model.
Now the company is offering owners of select handsets credit towards a new iPhone regardless of who made the handset and what OS it is running.
How much shoppers get (or whether they get it at all) will depend on the model as well as its age and condition.

Potential iPhone shoppers in the United States, UK, France, Germany, Canada and Italy can now take advantage of the offer.
The credit can then be used towards buying an iPhone 5C, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus handset. However, it can't be used towards an Apple Watch or an iPad.
