Some early LG G4 case renders have emerged online, reaffirming our expectations for LG’s next flagship smartphone.
The new images come courtesy of case-maker Verus, which previously showed off a case-clad Samsung Galaxy S6 ahead of the smartphone’s unveiling.
It’s not clear whether Verus has been given special access to the G4 designs by LG, or if the case-maker is basing the new images on previously leaked shots and renders of the upcoming handset.
Offering little in the way of groundbreaking revelations, the renders (via PhoneArena) have hinted at the possible introduction of an integrated fingerprint scanner and a slightly curved design.
A feature previously tipped to make an appearance on LG’s inbound HTC One M9 rival, the biometric sensor appears to be shown within the centre of the phone’s rear-mounted power button and volume rocker.
LG has yet to formally confirm any such plans and, as such, these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt.
The subtle curve is less severe than that on the LG G Flex 2, but suggests LG could be ready to bring its convex-panel display technology into the mainstream.

Meanwhile, a separate titbit of G4 info from today, this time courtesy of BusinessKorea, suggests that the upcoming handset will ship with a ‘dual-mode user experience’.
According to the report, the flagship smartphone will offer a general user mode, as well as an expert mode.
One example of this bonus expert functionality was said to be a host of new camera features, only available in the advanced user mode.
It’s not clear, however, whether this is any different from the dual-mode shipped with the LG G3, which also offers basic and more advanced software variants.
New rumours aside, we’re expecting the LG G4 to ship with a Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 808 or 810 chip, and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera.
The device seems almost assured to launch on April 28, so stay tuned.
