Apple today begins training its brick-and-mortar store staff on how to use the Apple Watch.
According to 9to5mac, the training will ‘not divulge many new details’, but should adequately prepare Apple staffers to help out the assured tidal wave of punters due at stores come April.
It’s unsurprising that Apple is making preparations ahead of time, however this does mark Apple’s first efforts on a retail staff level to ready up for the launch.
Last week the site reported Apple was looking to use ‘traditional jewellery store’ methods to flog the Apple Watch.
Apparently we’ll see ‘several new features’ in store, particularly to sell the 18-carat gold Apple Watch edition.
Safes will be fitted to house the more expensive watch variants, sources revealed, with a dedicated ‘special sales process’ used specifically for pricier models.

What’s more, Apple will reportedly make use of in-store scales to verify gold weight for returned Apple Watch units.
This is to ensure customers aren’t buying up the devices, pilfering some of the gold, and re-selling the metal on while returning the original unit.
The cheapest Apple Watch will retail at $349 (£229), although official UK pricing still remains elusive for now.
