The OnePlus One will now be available to buy every Tuesday, starting at 8am GMT here in the UK.
What’s more, you won’t need an invite to pick it up, marking the first consistent availability window for purchasing the device since it launched half a year ago.
Until now, invites were passed around between OnePlus buyers, making the device fairly exclusive.
OnePlus has held infrequent open sales or pre-order events, but the regular Tuesday window will let would-be buyers plan ahead.
“Over the past few months, we’ve been exploring new ways of making the OnePlus One easier to purchase,” the company’s Global Director, Carl Pei, explained via a blog post. “Today, we’ve glad to announce that we’re making it even easier to buy the One”
“As a young tech start-up, we’re constantly experimenting, iterating, and improving. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and coming with us on this journey.”
OnePlus was keen to point out that it’s not ditching the invite system; you’ll still need an invite for the other six days a week.
You’ll also receive shareable invites when you buy the OnePlus One on a Tuesday too.

In terms of pricing, you can pick up the 16GB silk white OnePlus One for £229, with the 64GB sandstone black model marking up at £269.
While that’s still a very good deal, the OnePlus One spec sheet is beginning to look a little tired now.
The handset ships with a Snapdragon 801 chip running Adreno 330 graphics, 3GB of RAM, and 4G/LTE support.
