Samsung may have leaked the release date for its much-anticipated flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S6.
While the company has essentially confirmed that it will be announcing the Samsung Galaxy S6 on March 1, thanks to its sending out invites for a launch event, we have no idea when the handset(s) will actually hit shops.
Or rather, we didn't used to have any idea. Now a seemingly innocuous piece of staff information may have just blown the lid off the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date.
PhoneArena has apparently received an internal email from an alleged Samsung employee detailing upcoming holiday blackout periods (see picture below).
These are dates in which Samsung employees aren't allowed to book time off, due to the fact that "Exciting things are just around the corner!"
What kind of exciting things? We can only speculate, but the imminent launch of the company's next major smartphone - the thing from which Samsung will be placing many of its financial hopes for the year in - suggests that this might be it.
The first blackout period takes place from March 22 to March 30, suggesting that March 22 could be the Samsung Galaxy S6 release date.

There's also a second holiday blackout window is for April 19 through to April 27. We'd suggest that this could be for the much-rumoured second flagship device planned for a March 1 unveiling, the so-called Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
The original tipster reckons it could be for a new Galaxy Note tablet, however. Either way, it looks likely that Samsung will be announcing and launching its next big phone in the month of March.
