The iPhone 5S could be heading for a September 10 unveiling
The iPhone 5S launch event could be less than a month away with claimed insiders suggested Apple’s next-gen smartphone will be unveiled on September 10.
With the Cupertino based company having yet to host a major global product announcement event in 2013, it is believed that its widely expected September event will see a bumper array of products unveiled in a bid to reaffirm its dwindling market shares.
Citing unnamed sources, repeated Apple tipster AllThingsD has claimed that the long awaited iPhone 5S will land alongside the heavily rumoured budget iPhone 5C on September 10. Both handsets are set to run the WWDC unveiled iOS 7 operating system.
Although Apple has yet to formally announce a date for its iPhone 5S launch event, the tipped September 10 date would fit with the company’s past unveilings. Following a September 10 announcement, it has been tipped that the iPhone 5S release date will be held the following Friday, September 20.
iPhone 5S Rumours
A handset shrouded in much rumour and speculation, the iPhone 5S is set to go head-to-head with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and LG G2 for smartphone supremacy.
Recent iPhone 5S rumours have suggested the handset will be a small improvement on the current iPhone 5, adding a selection of improved specs within the same brushed metal body as the existing handset. According to recent claims, the iPhone 5S specs sheet will see a speedier quad-core processor alongside improved camera optics.
Although a selection of iPhone 5S rumours have suggested the phone will boast an integrated fingerprint scanner, these reports are obviously far from confirmed. It has also been suggested that the 5S will be made in a variety of hues, with the standard black and white models to be added to be “6-8 colour” options.
