PS4 design teased in latest Sony E3 2013 video

Sony has again teased the PS4 design in an E3 2013 trailer where it announces the annual gaming conference will be used to showcase the PS4 games.

Just a day after Microsoft released its Xbox One E3 trailer, Sony has unleashed its E3 2013 video preview that gives us a few more tantalising glimpses of the as yet undisclosed PS4 design.

The Japanese electronics manufacturer starts out by showcasing the PS3 console and several titles coming to the current and next-generation consoles, including Watch Dogs and Knack, the first game used to show off the PS4 during its unveiling in February.

Sony then goes on to say E3 2013 will see the full range of PS4 games revealed, and flashes clips from Killzone 3, God of War and what appears to be Gran Turismo 6.

Similar to the PS4 teaser video released at the end of last month, the latest Sony E3 2013 trailer offers hints about the upcoming form factor, flashing still shots of the still elusive PS4 hardware.

Choosing not to unveil what the PS4 will actually look like during its February unveiling, Sony has offered another selection of still shots revealing the grills, fan ports and strong angular sections of the console.

All we know about the PS4 so far is its fairly impressive list of specs. Packing an eight-core AMD Jaguar CPU with 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, the PS4 will be capable of reaching 1.84 teraFLOPS and have a next-generation AMD graphics engine.

Aside from a potential PS4 hardware unveiling, Sony will also be offering “live game demos” and “live developer interviews” during this year’s E3 conference.

The Sony pre-E3 press briefing will take place at 6pm PDT on June 10 or for British fans, 2am BST on June 11. Although a finalised PS4 release date has yet to be confirmed, Sony has offered a vague “2013 holiday season” time scale.
