Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
Samsung has officially unveiled the 8- and 10.1-inch versions of its Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 device, following a host of online rumours.
Arriving alongside the previously announced 7-inch tablet of the same name, Samsung has expanded its tablet series with 8-inch and 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 slates.
Both tablets pack Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1280 x 800p HD resolutions, despite their difference in screen size and are due for a UK release date later this year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Features
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch slate has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, powered by a 4,450mAh battery. It has an 8-inch WXGA TRT display with 1280 x 800p resolutions and an image density of 189ppi.
Packing a 5-megapixel camera in the rear, complemented by 1.3-megapixels up front, the 8-inch Tab 3 weighs 314g and is just 7.4mm thick.
The 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. Powered by a 6,800mAh battery, it packs a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT display with 1280 x 800p resolutions and a 149ppi image density, meaning the screen quality is a beaten by its 8-inch sibling.
It also only offers a 3-megapixel camera in the rear, with the same 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and is 510g in weight and a slightly thicker 7.95mm depth.
Both versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 have the option of 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. Offering a microSD card slot, that internal memory can be expanded with memory cards up to 64GB.
Running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8- and 10.1-inch tablets have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity and can be bought in 3G and 4G LTE varieties.
