The first Dead Island 2 gameplay trailer has been released, just ahead of the playable demos at GamesCom.
We were pretty impressed by the Dead Island 2 trailer shown off at E3 2014, featuring the fitness freak running down the Venice Beach board walk unaware of the zombie hordes behind.
(If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer duo below.)
Well, now there’s a brand new Dead Island 2 trailer, but this one’s focused on gameplay details.
Although the gameplay is taken from pre-alpha footage, publisher Deep Silver aims to give fans a good early look at Dead Island 2’s new locale.
“The video shows pre-alpha in-game footage and gives a first impression on how beautiful sunshine and bloody melee violence meet once again – this time in the sunny realms of California”, explains Deep Silver.
Dead Island 2 is set after the events on the Banoi Islands from the first Dead Island game, where the US military has put the state of California under quarantine.
“California’s new-found bloody paradise is an action-packed playground featuring the acclaimed, seamless multiplayer for up to eight players who cooperate, compete or simply coexist in a truly social, new-gen multiplayer experience.”
Deep Silver earlier revealed that Dead Island 2 will be playable for the first time at GamesCom 2014 later this week. TrustedReviews will be on the show floor to bring you all the latest from the big names in gaming.
Dead Island 2 will launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in spring 2015, although an exact date has yet to be pinned down.
