The PlayStation exclusive Far Cry 4 Keys to Karat feature has been further outlined at GamesCom 2014.
Originally detailed at E3 2014, the PlayStation unique Keys to Karat lets you play co-op Far Cry 4 with friends on PS4 that don't actually own the game yet.
During the Sony GamesCom press conference, Ubisoft Game Producer Alex Hutchinson took to the stage to give us a little more detail on this rather attractive feature.
Anyone purchasing Far Cry 4 for a PlayStation console will be given 10 keys to give to their PSN friends. These can be then used to give their pals what Ubisoft is calling the ultimate free trial experience.
Each key will give your PSN pal 2-hours of co-operative gameplay access with Far Cry 4, which isn't quite as open ended as Ubisoft originally made out at E3.
However, you've got to take into consideration that this is something that's never been done before with consoles or a title.
Sony is extending this further too with its Share Play functionality coming in System Software Update 2.0 later this year.
