The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge could land with a mega 4GB of RAM on board, if Korean analysts are to be believed.
Industry hounds from Korea Investment & Securities (via PhoneArena ) reckon the Note Edge-style Galaxy S6 spin-off will make use of boosted RAM.
The analysts do maintain, however, that the Samsung Galaxy S6 proper will land with a safer 3GB of memory inside.
For perspective, the current flagship smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S5 – makes use of 2GB of RAM, while Apple’s iPhone 6 uses just 1GB.
The Edge variant is expected to come with a 1440 x 2560 Super AMOLED display, a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor to boot.
A metal (or part metal, at least) chassis is also rumoured to appear for both (or either) the Edge and the S6 proper, marking a departure from Samsung’s typically plastic-laden efforts of previous years.
We’re also expecting to see an Exynos chip at the core of at least one of the devices, as rumours fly that Samsung wants to focus on its own SoCs rather than relying on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series (the latest of which has reportedly been plagued with overheating issues).

Both S6-stamped devices are tipped for a March launch, likely entering tech-dom at this year’s Mobile World Congress event over in Barcelona.
MWC runs from March 2 to 5, and is sure to see some of this year’s hottest flagship smartphones and tablets debut.
The Sony Xperia Z4, the LG G4, and the HTC One M9 ‘Hima’ have all been rumoured to make an appearance at MWC 2015.
