Nimblebit, the makers of the Tiny Tower game for iOS, is planning to launch one of the first third-party games for the forthcoming Apple Watch.

The developer’s next project Letterpad is in line for a release on Apple’s wearable as well as the iPhone and iPad.

Word from TouchArcade says the game will be a simple word game which requires players to create as many words as they can from 9 letters, based around a certain topic. The game will reportedly have 200 built in puzzles, but will allow users to create their own and share them.

Touch Arcade has also published a mock up of how the game might look on the Apple Watch (pictured). The site says the game is close to completion, but there’s no solid release date for the Letterpad just yet.

Given the Apple Watch is scheduled to arrive in the United States by the end of March, this may be one of the first titles users are able to download in order to get their gaming kicks.

Due to the physical restrictions of its 38mm or 42mm vertical display sizes, gaming promises to be a different proposition on the Apple Watch.
