Sony has announced the first original series to debut on the PlayStation Network will be aired on March 10.
The first three episodes of the supernatural cop drama Powers will be available to stream on that date, with 7 more will be aired every Tuesday.
The premiere will be available for all to view, while the rest will require a PlayStation Plus subscription, the company revealed on the PlayStation blog.
The show was originally slated to debut back in December, but plans may have been postponed due to ‘The Interview’ hack, which consumed Sony’s resources at the time.
The show itself is an adaptation of a comic book by the same name. The sci-fi series features a pair of detectives who’re investigating members of the public with superhero powers.

The release is the first series in Sony’s planned expansion into original programming as it seeks to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon.
Given Sony’s history in the movie and television business, the firm’s approach certainly makes sense.
Microsoft had plotted a similar expansion for Xbox Live, but dropped plans last summer when it closed down Xbox Entertainment Studios.
The move was part of new CEO Satya Nadella’s early restructuring operations after taking over from Steve Ballmer as Microsoft CEO.
