Sky Go now has 70 channels




BSkyB has added a few new channels to its web-based streaming platform Sky Go for desktop and mobile.


Sky subscribers can now access Channel 5, 5* and 5 USA, unlocking programming like Gotham, TOWIE, The Mentalist, Big Brother and Neighbours into play.


The new and rather obnoxious ITVBe channel has also been added to the streaming roster, while British Eurosport 2 allows subscribers to tune into British Superbikes and NFL Monday Night Football.


The roll out of the new channels comes looks to narrow the discrepancy between whats available on the set to box and the on demand platform.


The service, which now has 5.6m registered sky customers with up to 70 live channels and a swathe of on-demand content.


The likes of Sky Sports and Sky Atlantic are among the most popular channels on the service, with users able to enjoy live sport on their mobiles while catching up with hit shows like Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire at their convenience.


Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky’s Brand Director of TV Products, said: “It’s great news for our 5.6 million Sky Go customers who can now get even more shows to watch including TOWIE and Big Brother. Sky Go lets our customers have even more flexibility to enjoy the TV they love, on their terms.”
