The Korean-built handset will be landing in Japan on October 23, just two days away.
NTT DoCoMo, one of Japan’s foremost network providers, revealed the date in a press release.
The firm also revealed that it would start selling the Sony Xperia Z3 on the same date.
While NTT DoCoMo will be flogging the Charcoal Balck version of the Note Edge on Friday, the Frost White variant won’t go on sale until mid November.
Another Japanese carrier, KDDI, is also set to stock the Galaxy Note Edge this month, although we’re not sure what Samsung’s plans are for a wider global roll-out.
Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note Edge early last month at its Samsung Unpacked event.
The handset appears to be an experiment in innovation for the Korean firm, with Samsung explicitly calling it a ‘limited edition concept.’
The Edge sports mostly the same specs as the Galaxy Note 4 its based on, but with a twist – the screen curves over the right edge of the device.
Bendy displays aside, there’s also a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and the S-Pen stylus in tow.
There has been talk that the Note Edge could land on American soil, with the FCC reported to been in the process of approving it for sale in the US.
Other countries tipped to get the device include the UK, China, Australia, Canada, Russia, and Korea, although launch details are thin on the ground.
Interestingly, online retailer Clove has already started taking pre-orders for the device, set at £650 per handset.
