Every company might claim their phone is best for selfies, but the Oppo N3 really stands out. It has a motorised camera that swivels through 206 degrees.
You can control the 16-megapixel snapper using on-screen gestures, Touch Access, or Oppo's O-Click tech which is similar to a remote control. Very neat.
It also packs plenty of photo features, like ultra-macro mode, slow shutter, and the ability to shoot in RAW.
Going against the grain, the N3 is also smaller than its predecessor, the N1. The 5.5-inch screen is Full HD, which is fine, but pales next to the QHD models seen on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3.
Inside is a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage along with a microSD card slot. There's a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.
Oppo also unveiled the R5 at the same event. The R5 measures just 4.85mm slim, which is ridiculously thin. It's the world's thinnest smartphone, in fact.
In contrast, the iPhone 6 measures 6.9mm fat.
Despite being crazy slim, it packs some decent specs, including a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED screen, 13-megapixel camera, 2.1GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip and 2GB of RAM.
Oppo unveiled both at an event in Singapore, with both set for release next month. The N3 costs $649 (£400), while the R5 will set you back $499 (£310). Both could prove a nice alternative if you want to set yourself apart from the iPhone-owning masses.
