CEO Tim Cook brands Apple Watch a ‘game changer’

The Apple Watch has been unveiled ahead of an early 2015 release and now Apple CEO Tim Cook has suggested the smartwatch will be ‘a game changer’.

Making use of the lazy, over-utilized marketing phrase, Cook has claimed the Apple Watch will not only revolutionise the smartwatch market, but reinvigorate the entire consumer technology space.

We are going to wonder how we ever lived without it,” Cook said on the upcoming Moto 360 and Samsung Gear Live rival.

He added: That’s the test of a great product: you wonder how you lived without it. And I think that’s going to happen to the Apple Watch.”

Cook’s comments came has he finished his four day trip to China.

As well as blowing the Apple Watch’s horn, Cook used the trip to discuss privacy concerns and confirm the company’s growing interest in China. Part of this increased effort will see Apple Pay introduced to the country.

“China is a really key market for us,” he told key industry personnel.

“Everything we do, we are going to work it here. Apple Pay is top of that list.”

The Apple Watch will hit retailers on an undisclosed date in early 2015. The techy timepiece is set to make use of a digital crown and run a modified version of iOS.
