The iPhone 6 launch event is scheduled for tonight, September 9 at 6pm BST and you’ll be able to watch it as it happens via live stream.
If you’re keen to watch the iPhone 6 launch live, you’ll need to grab yourself some Apple kit before the 6pm event.
To watch the live stream you’ll need to head to the special Apple website on an iOS device running iOS 6.0 or later, such as the iPad Air or iPhone 5S.
If you’ve got a Mac, you can access the live stream if you’re running Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later.
Those without an OS X or iOS device can watch the launch on an Apple TV, so long as you’ve got software 6.2 or later. There’s a special Apple Events app you’ll need to download too.
As with previous Apple launches or events like WWDC, if you haven’t got any Apple products you won’t be able to watch it live. However, the event will be posted to the Apple Events page at a later date for you to watch in full.
Tonight’s launch event is expected to show off a revamped iPhone 6 design, with rounded edges and larger, potentially sapphire glass protected, displays in sizes of 4.7- and 5.5-inches.
The iPhone 6 is tipped to feature the new Apple A8 processor with a strong focus on fitness thanks to the new HealthKit APIs and Health app introduced with iOS 8.
We should also see Apple lift the lid on the long rumoured iWatch, the company’s first wearable.
Although we’re not too sure what the iWatch will actually look like, it is expected to come in two sizes to complement the male and female wrists.
Hopefully iOS 8 will be immediately available to download after the event for compatible devices.
iOS 8 is compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, 5th generation iPod Touch, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad mini 2 with Retina display.
