If your Xbox One can be heard over the top of your blazing first person shooter action, Microsoft says it’ll replace your console.
Following complains from users, the gaming giant has admitted that a small amount of the next-gen systems may be running abnormally loudly.
Microsoft claims the extra decibels exhibited by the consoles does not compromise the performance or safety, but those experiencing the problem can contact Xbox Support in order to arrange a replacement.
"We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud," said a Microsoft spokesperson.
"While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we're asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support: http://support.xbox.com. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems.”
Earlier on Tuesday Microsoft detailed the forthcoming October update for the Xbox One, which will bring DLNA support as well as a host of Snap improvements.
Those include quicker access to Friends, Messages, Game DVR, clock and the battery indicator. Also, a double tap of the Xbox button on the control will let users switch to the currently open Snap app.
Following the new update, unveiled by Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, a double tap will also enable gamers to record the last 30 seconds of gameplay without having to talk to the console.
Microsoft has pledged to keep churning out the monthly updates though the end of 2014 as it seeks to reel in the PlayStation 4's early lead.
