Three Feel at Home free roaming extends to more countries

Three has extended its Feel at Home free roaming service to five additional countries across the world.

When Three customers visit France, Switzerland, Israel, Switzerland, Finland and Norway with the Feel at Home service, they’ll be able to use their call, text and internet allowance allocated to them in the UK without additional roaming charges.

These five new countries add to the existing 11 destinations already covered by the service: US, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Macau, Italy, Australia, Austria, Hong Kong, Denmark, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

“Roaming charges are a rip-off and Three is tackling the issue head-on,” said Dave Dyson, Chief Executive at Three. “We haven’t just reduced charges; we’ve now scrapped them in 16 destinations, making it fairer, easier and more enjoyable to use your phone abroad.”

“I want customers to stay connected when they’re overseas without the fear of a nasty bill when they return.”

When arriving in one of the covered destinations, the Three Feel at Home service will automatically kick in. Your phone will still connect to a local network, but you’ll just be able to use your inclusive texts, calls and internet data.

If you happen to go over your limits, you will be charged Three’s roaming rates, which the network provider claims is cheaper than that offered by rivals.

Calls back to the UK are charged at 20p per minute, texts are 7p and additional data will cost you 10p per MB.
