The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 specs have been leaked in a set of AnTuTu benchmarks.

Ahead of the Tab S trio launch next month at the Galaxy Premiere event, AnTuTu benchmarks have revealed the specs for the 8-inch AMOLED tablet.

AnTuTu lists the model number for the Tab S 8.4 as SM-T700 and states that it will pack an 8.4-inch 2560 x 1600p QHD and run on a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa core 5420 processor with 3GB of RAM.

In the rear will apparently be an 8-megapixel rear camera, coupled with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing snapper.

32GB of internal storage is listed, but there is no mention of microSD card support as yet.

As expected, the Tab S 8.4 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed and will supposedly run Samsung’s new Magazine UX featured on the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and other high-end tablets revealed at CES 2014 in January.

This matches the specs leaked for the 10.5-inch Tab S version too, so hopefully the hardware is the same across all three sizes of the slates.

Other Tab S specs not listed in these benchmarks include the same home button-embedded fingerprint sensor as the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.

There’s no word as to whether the Tab S range will feature the same water- and dust-resistant certification as the S5 too though.

The Galaxy Tab S range, with their QHD displays, will be launched at a special Galaxy Premiere event in New York on June 12.

The event invite bears the tagline “Tab into Colour”, referring to the stunning QHD AMOLED panels to be featured in the new Tab S tablet range.

As the invite shows, it looks like the Tab S slates will be very slim, and could possibly even arrive in a selection of colour options.
