Samsung launches ‘The Fastest Game on Earth’

Samsung has launched ‘The Fastest Game on Earth’, with the Facebook-based title helping promote the speedy nature of its latest solid state drives.

According to the Korean manufacturer, “the fastest drive on earth just got a game to match,” with the basic game seeing players tasked with trapping a Samsung SSD 840 EVO which whizzes across the screen just once.

More than just a bit of light hearted fun, Samsung is giving those of you with the quickest reactions the chance to win your own SSD 840 EVO.

There are 50 drives up for grabs in total, with winners picked from the fastest daily times logged. You can play the game here.

For those of you too slow to capture the SSD before it disappears, fret not, you can simply start over and have another go.

“Samsung SSD want to know whether our fans are faster than a Samsung SSD. To do this, we’ve launched The Fastest Game on Earth, pitting our fans’ wits against the fastest SSD on the market for a chance to win one of 50 Samsung SSD 840 EVOS,” the manufacturer told us.

The Samsung SSD 840 EVO is one of the fastest solid state drives available right now, with the manufacturer’s new 3-bit MLC NAND flash memory helping improve not only speed, but reliability too.

The SSD 840 EVO is available in a range of storage capacities, with prices ranging from the sub-£150 250GB edition up to the £416 &50GB option.
