The LG G3 price could fall around the £500 mark according to one retailer.
Although the LG G3 was officially unveiled yesterday at a special event, LG and the retailers haven’t released any pricing details for the 2014 flagship.
However, online retailer Clove has just listed the LG G3 SIM-free for £499, which is the same as originally rumoured.
This makes it considerably cheaper than rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S5, which launched with a SIM-free price of £569.99.
LG G3 Features
The LG G3 features a 5.5-inch QHD 2560 x 1440p display running on a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM.
It is powered by a replaceable 3000mAh battery and comes with 16GB of internal storage, helped by microSD card support up to 128GB.
In the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, laser auto focus and dual flash. That is paired with a front-facing 2.1-megapixel sensor.
Sadly, it doesn’t come with a metal body, but does have a “metal skin” finish that gives it a metallic effect. It comes in five colours though: Metallic Black, Shine Gold, Silk White, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red.
The LG G3 has also been given a software refresh, keeping the UI in line with the phone’s “simple is the new smart” tagline.
Among other new features, the G3’s UI now offers a Google Now style service called Smart Notice that provides predictive recommendations based on the status of your phone, location or usage behaviour.
The LG G3 release date isn’t until July 1, but now at least we know how much we’ll need to pay for one.
