LG G3 UK release date confirmed for July 1

The LG G3 UK release date has been confirmed, with the QHD display packing smartphone to hit British shores on July 1.

Leaving a little over a month until the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 rival will be sitting on retailers’ shelves, the LG G3 release date sees the flagship phone hit the UK exactly nine months after its predecessor, the LG G2.

Despite confirming a July 1 LG G3 UK release date with TrustedReviews, the manufacturer has yet to shed light on formalised pricing.

Landing in July should give the LG G3 a launch window all to itself, with Sony and Samsung’s flagship offerings out the way and the iPhone 6 not expected to touch down until September.

Although the manufacturer has yet to announce any official LG G Watch release date, the company has suggested that the timepiece will be available alongside the newly unveiled G3.

“The G3 will launch with a line-up of premium companion products,” Andy Coughlin, LG’s Head of Mobile for UK and Ireland said during the phone’s formal unveiling.

He went on to add: “You can connect your G3, or any phone running Android 4.3 or higher for that matter, to the upcoming G Watch,

Having been the subject of seemingly endless leaks in recent weeks, the LG G3 has finally been officially outed with its party piece 5.5-inch QHD display in tow.

The phone will pair its impressive visuals with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera and an metal-effect plastic build which features a minimalist bezel to maximise space handed over to the display.
