LG G Watch video teases upcoming smartwatch

A new, official, LG G Watch video has been released, teasing the upcoming smartwatch’s features list ahead of launch.

Despite the company having confirmed the LG G Watch back in March, the Korean manufacturer has, to date, remained coy on confirming finalized G Watch specs.

Now, although offering few new details on the watch, LG has given another look at its upcoming Samsung Gear 2 rival with an official LG G Watch video teaser.

Declaring that “LG defines the smartwatch,” the company has showcased the first Android Wear powered device from all manner of angles, outlining the watch’s waterproof capabilities and option of black or white colour schemes.

Suggesting that the G Watch will be “sleek and lightweight for all day comfort,” and feature a “metal body for a timeless look,” the video has also looked at the device’s Android innards and compatibility options.

Although LG has yet to detail the exact battery capacity or staying power of the LG G Watch, the company’s teaser video has suggested that the techy timepiece will be “ready for anything, anytime with a single charge.”

Despite an exact LG G Watch release date having yet to be confirmed, the company has openly stated that the watch will be available to consumers during Q2 – so before the end of June.

Set to go head-to-head with the eagerly awaited Apple iWatch later in the year, the LG G Watch will be formally showcased alongside the upcoming LG G3 during the company’s May 27 launch event.
