Lenovo ThinkPad 10 introduces shaper screen to tablet range

The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 has been announced with a 10-inch 1920 x 1200p display, matching rival tablets at the same price.

This new tablet refreshes the 10.1-inch Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2, there’s not much difference between the two apart from the slightly upgraded specs.

“Customers want a versatile device that adapts to their way of life and offers uncompromised productivity whether in the office or on the move,” said Luis Hernandez, VP and GM of ThinkPad at Lenovo. “Our new ThinkPad 10 tablet marries business optimised features with a unique multimode design to offer an exceptional computing experience that allows users to work, play and create in virtually any environment.”

“ThinkPad 10 is engineered for quality you can touch and measure and is designed to adapt to be what you need, when you need it.”

Lenovo ThinkPad 10 Features

The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 features a 10-inch 1920 x 1200p full HD IPS display running Windows 8 Pro.

Under the hood you’ll find a quad-core Intel Atom Bay Trail processor with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage with microSD support.

You get an 8-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor as well as a claimed 10-hour battery life.

Like its predecessors, the ThinkPad 10 offers digitizer pen support, but the tablet doesn’t feature an internal slot for the pen itself. That’s apparently because Lenovo has made the pen’s diameter bigger to make it easier to hold and use.

The tablet is compatible with a range of accessories though, some of which include a pen slot.

Lenovo ThinkPad 10 Release Date and Price

UK pricing for the Lenovo ThinkPad 10 has yet to be announced but the tablet will be available in June. US pricing starts at $599.
