Apple stores are reportedly limiting staff holidays during September, a move that appears to point towards the upcoming iPhone 6 release.
With the next Apple handset having been repeatedly tipped for a September launch, employees at the company’s retail stores in Germany have now spoken out on imposed holiday restriction.
Citing unnamed sources from within Apple’s lead German retail spots, iFun.de has suggested that there is “little doubt” the tip is trustworthy and gives a nod to an upcoming iPhone 6 release.
A move that Apple has used in recent years to ensure maximum staffing during one of its biggest retail windows, the restriction of employee holidays has become synonymous with the company’s high-profile product launches.
However, in past year’s Apple has blocked staff holidays just weeks before the annual iPhone refresh, not four months like this tease.
While we suggest this advanced warning be taken with a pinch of salt, there is a possibility that Apple has felt compelled to guarantee strong staff support during this window due to a number of upcoming launches.
With reports suggesting staff are restricted from taking holiday throughout the whole of September, it is feasible that Apple could launch both the iPhone 6 and much mooted Apple iWatch during that month.
A flurry of iPhone 6 rumours have circulated recently, with the iPhone 5S follow-on widely expected to land with a new, larger 4.7-inch screen in tow.
A slimline design refresh, iOS 8 and an improved health and fitness focus are all also expected to be bestowed on the Samsung Galaxy S5 rival.
