Acer has kicked off its CES 2015 unveilings in style, announcing the world’s first projector to come packing hidden internal Chromecast wireless dongle support.
Moving simple and seamless short-throw content sharing beyond the home’s big screen, the latest Acer offering features a dedicated adaptor hidden within the heart of the device to allow users to connect their Chromecast dongles for easy, unobtrusive content sharing.
Dubbed the Acer H7550ST, the projector is far from a one-trick pony, however. The new unveiling also packs 1080p Full HD visual capabilities, 3,000 lumens of brightness and dynamic 20W stereo audio.
“Our newest home entertainment projector is one of our best yet,” Melanie Tarpey, Director of Acer’s Peripheral Business, said in unveiling the H7550ST.
“Leading short throw technology increases flexibility in placement options, while a wireless adapter makes transferring and projecting data easier and more convenient than ever.”
Featuring a native 16:9 aspect ratio, the Acer H7550ST is capable of projecting images up to 100 inches across.
With a 16,000:1 contrast ratio, 3D support at 44Hz 24fps, integrated 2D-3D conversion technology and HD 3D connections, the H7550ST should have enough bells and whistles to keep even the most ardent of AV enthusiasts appeased.

Although Acer has yet to pin an exact date of release on the H7550ST, the company has confirmed the projector will hit British shores sometime in March.
