Racing fans are in for a treat as Developer Turn 10 Studios confirms that a new Forza 5 update will bring the iconic Nurburgring track to the game for the first time.
Making the announcement during Microsoft’s Xbox themed E3 2014 press conference, the developer has also revealed it will waste no time in bringing the update to gamers, with the patch to be available through Xbox Live today.
“Every week almost a million of you are playing in the Forza universe,” Turn 10’s Dan Greenwalt stated.
“For you, may I present the most iconic motor racing venue, the Nurburgring.”
Confirming that the iconic German race track will be available in its complete, 16 mile entirety, Greenwalt revealed that the track had been intricately mapped specifically for Microsoft’s latest console, the Xbox One.
Detailing the availability of the title, he added: “The Nurburgring will be available starting today for everyone with Forza 5 and it’s free.”
As well as offering bringing the new Forza 5 update to gamers, Greenwalt used his time on stage to offer new details on the upcoming Forza Horizon 2.
Set to hit retailers on September 30, the company’s latest racing simulator will offer 1080p Full HD visuals and over 200 vehicles.
