For the first time ever, the whole Halo series will come to the Xbox One in the form of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
The game will include all the Halo titles from one through four and will release on November 11 2014, offering the whole Master Chief collection on one console in full 1080p HD at 60fps.
"We knew we had an opportunity to do something special," said developer 343 Industries. "We had an opportunity to introduce a new wave of fans to the Halo series".
The Master Chief Collection will feature a single unified interface with everything unlocked, making sure that you have access to all the Halo content. This will give gamers to catch up on the Halo series before Halo 5: Guardians is released some time in 2015.
As everything is unlocked, you can play the journey whatever way you want and there will be custom playlists combining key movements for all the games.
To celebrate 10 years since the game was released, Halo 2 is getting the full anniversary treatment.
"We’ve retouched every aspect of the game", explained 343 Industries.
To see the changes that have been made for the Xbox One, you can switch from anniversary to classic very quickly.
Fans of the series will be elated to hear that the Master Chief Collection will contain the original Halo 2 multiplayer as it was first released, but two maps have been chosen to be given the Xbox One treatment for the anniversary.
In total, the Master Chief Collection will offer over 100 multiplayer maps, including all maps ever released on Halo 1 - 4, all running at 1080p and 60fps.
For those of you looking to cash in on some fresh achievements, 343 Industries has boosted the total Gamerscore available for the collection to 4000.
Also included with Halo: The Master Chief Collection is Halo: Nightfall, the Xbox One exclusive live action digital series, which the developer claims will introduce "a pivotal new character in the lead up to Halo 5: Guardians."
