Sony Television and Playstation has green-lit two series of Powers, its first original TV content.
Power the TV series is based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel series of the same name by Brian Michael Venice.
It features two homicide detectives that are specifically looking at the murders or suspicious deaths of superheroes. Some of these cases will be known to the protagonist, who has a secret that he used to be a superhero himself.
“We’re immensely proud to bring it to your television”, said Brian Michael Venice at the E3 press conference.

Casting is underway and Sony promises that new announcements will be coming over the summer months and towards the end of the year.
The series will be exclusive to PlayStation gamers and will be available in the US from December. The first episode will be available for free, but if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber you’ll be able to access the entire series for free.
Ratchet and Clank: The Movie is also being created at the moment. Both it and the original Ratchet and Clank remade for PS4 will arrive in the first half of 2015.
Microsoft has already announced its own original TV content, which is available in the US this month.
Sadly, there's no news as to when Powers will be made available in the UK.
