GTA 5 PC edition tipped for early 2014 release date

A GTA 5 PC release could be on the way, with latest reports suggesting the much loved game will be brought to PC gamers early next year.

With publisher Rockstar having to date ignored calls for a GTA 5 PC release and launched the game only for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, claimed “industry sources” have suggested that GTA 5 could break it console bonds in a matter of months.

Multiple industry sources have indicated the open world game, currently available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will come out on PC in the first quarter of 2014,” Eurogamer has reported in regards to a potential GTA 5 PC release date.

With Rockstar continuing to remain tight-lipped on a GTA 5 PC release, gamers have become increasingly vocal in their demands for the game, with more than 600,000 signatures having been added to an online petition to get the latest Grand Theft Auto title on to PC.

Ahead of last month’s GTA 5 release date, an official Rockstar spokesperson stated: “We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."

Although Rockstar has to date failed to confirm a GTA 5 PC release, other sources have hinted at the game making the jump, including Nvidia’s Senior Director of Investor Relations, Chris Evenden.

During a recent earning call, Evenden stated: "[PC] gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4.”

An Nvidia spokesperson later passed Evenden’s comments off as a slip of the tongue, claiming the company had no knowledge of GTA 5 PC release.

Rockstar has yet to comment on the latest GTA 5 PC release rumours and as such we suggest the latest rumours are taken somewhat lightly.
