Seemingly finalised Google Nexus 5 specs have been confirmed by a leaked user manual, just days ahead of the expected Google Nexus 5 release date.
With the Google Nexus 5 having been the subject of much rumour and speculation for a number of months, with the phone expected to be officially unveiled in the near future, a prematurely outed user manual has suggested that a quad-core processor and 8-megapixel camera are to feature on the Google Nexus 5 specs sheet.
With a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor set to run the show alongside the recently announced Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Google Nexus 5 specs sheet is also set to benefit from a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display to rival that on the market leading Samsung Galaxy S4.
Expected to be manufactured by LG, the Google Nexus 5 had been rumoured to run an array of innards similar to the Korean manufacturer’s new flagship LG G2.
Said to line up at 9.1mm thick and 139.5g in weight, the Google Nexus 5 does not look set to be the slimmest or lightest handset on the market, and, with a 2300mAh Lithium-Polymer battery in tow, nor is it likely to have the best staying power.
Unlike the Google Nexus 4 which was available in 8GB or 16GB storage options, the Google Nexus 5 will reportedly have up to 32GB of storage space. Unlike the powerful Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which offers 3GB of RAM, the leaked Google Nexus 5 spec has pointed at 2GB of memory being included.
In something of a step back from the current flagship phones, the Google Nexus 5 camera collection has been mooted to see an 8-megapixel rear-mounted snapper line up alongside a 1.6-megapixel secondary camera up front.
On a connectivity front, the Google Nexus 5 is set to benefit from the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB options alongside NFC and wireless charging capabilities.
As well as playing host to an impressive array of innards, the Google Nexus 5 will also reportedly feature a wallet-friendly price tag, with claimed Google insiders recently stating the phone will cost half as much as the iPhone 5S.
