Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?
A picture of a prototype Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has leaked online, revealing the upcoming device to be quite a beast.
The picture shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 alongside two other devices and makes it look absolutely massive, potentially packing a bigger display than the rumoured 5.99-inches.
Coming courtesy of website GforGames, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 picture indicates the device could have much squarer corners than the rounded features Samsung has been introducing in the latest Galaxy range devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.
This could mean that we’re seeing the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 held within a temporary shell holding the internal components for testing purposes rather than the finished product. This happened with the Samsung Galaxy S3, which leaked online within a dummy case to protect the final design.
Lining up next to an old Nokia handset and another masked Samsung device, the cloaked Samsung handset is displaying a picture of the 5-inch display Sony Xperia Z flagship, which may be an indicator of how very large the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could be when it launches.
The design though looks very similar to the leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype images that emerged earlier this week, pointing to a 6-inch display device.
That leak suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will pack a 5.99-inch display with full 1080p HD resolutions.
Other specs should include an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera.
Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UI, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also rumoured to play host to an optical zoom camera. Potentially packing 3x optical zoom, the Galaxy Note 3 wouldn’t be as bulky as the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, but could offer improved photographic functionality.
