Microsoft to unveil 20 new Xbox games at E3 2013

Microsoft has revealed that it will showcase 20 games for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles during E3 2013.

According to Spike TV presenter, Geoff Knighley, Microsoft will be showcasing 20 Xbox 360 and Xbox One games at E3 2013, which starts today June 10 with their pre-E3 Microsoft press briefing at 9.30am PT or 5.30pm UK time.

Speaking to the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer, Knighley further solidifies Microsoft’s claim that E3 will be all about the games, rather than focusing on entertainment features of the Xbox One.

“Just spoke to Phil Spencer (@XboxP3), he promises tomorrow is all games at Xbox. 20 titles on stage. More in the Spike preshow”, said Knighley in a tweet.

During the Xbox One reveal, Spencer announced that the next-generation console will be home to 15 exclusive game titles, all launching within the first year of the Xbox One release date. Eight of those titles will also be entirely new IPs specifically for the Xbox One.

“Microsoft has more titles in development now than at any time in Xbox’s history,” said Spencer during the Xbox One reveal.

It has already been confirmed that Forza Motorsport 5, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and new IP Quantum Break from Alan Wake developer Remedy will all launch for the Xbox One, so expect to see more footage from those titles during E3.

Alongside the multiple game reveals, Microsoft has revealed that it has a huge Xbox 360 announcement planned for E3, despite the recent launch of its next-generation Xbox One console.

“We have a huge, I think it’s huge, [Xbox 360] announcement for E3 that I keep wanting to talk about, but I can’t,” said Spencer last month.

Expect to see new Xbox One and Xbox 360 games unveiled at E3 2013, which officially starts tomorrow.

There is an EA Games press conference today, June 10, starting at 1pm PT or 9pm BST that will reveal the new Battlefield 4 multiplayer features along with some “other surprises”.
