Leaked iPhone 5S camera components point to a number of key changes
Claimed iPhone 5S components have leaked online, with Apple’s eagerly awaited next-gen handset tipped to sport improved cameras and an all new home button.
Touted as internals bound for the iPhone 5 follow-on, the mooted iPhone 5S components point towards a number of marked differences over the company’s past smartphone offerings as Apple looks to regain ground on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
According to the latest leaks out of the Czech Republic, the claimed iPhone 5S components show the handset will make the jump to a new, larger sensor forward-facing camera, with the handset’s FaceTime enabling snapper to rival the 2-megapixel offerings found on the likes of the Sony Xperia Z.
As well as an improved camera, the leaked components have also pointed at a revised physical home button making the cut aboard the next-generation handset. Elsewhere, a dual head vibration motor has hinted that the Apple smartphone could offer improved reactive feedback to users.
Manufacturing partners and suppliers are reportedly entering the first stages of iPhone 5S production in preparation for a widely expected iPhone 5S release date in September.
iPhone 5S Rumours
Shrouded in much rumour and speculation, the mooted iPhone 5S is strongly believed to be heading for release later this year as a direct iPhone 5 follow-on. Expected to feature the same form factor as its predecessor, the iPhone 5S has been tipped to benefit a faster, quad-core processor.
With a number of recent reports claiming the iPhone 5S will landing in “6-8 colours,” it has been suggested that the handset will launch alongside a cheaper, lower specced budget iPhone.
Further iPhone 5S rumours have pointed to the inclusion of a fingerprint reader, with the security option expected to line up alongside the as yet unannounced iOS 7 and potential larger storage options. The device is believed to host the same 4-inch Retina display as the iPhone 5.
