Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 look like this?
Images of a claimed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype handset have hit the web, hinting at a 6-inch device with a markedly square form factor.
Widely expected to make it to market later this year, the latest claimed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leaks have pointed to a device vastly different to past premature outings, having seemingly turned its back on a Samsung Galaxy S4 esque design in favour of a new, square form factor.
Having hit the web courtesy of TechTastic, the mooted Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leak has suggested the smartphone turn tablet hybrid will feature a 5.99-inch display with a 1080p Full HD resolution.
Although the handset design shown goes against past reports that the Note 3 will look like an elongated S4, the tipsters have suggested: “The device on the photo is probably a prototype, although we don’t expect that the final design will look very different.”
Featuring a slim, streamlined bezel, the leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to run an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS in tow. Sporting a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera, the leaked handset reportedly runs Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumours
Far from the first Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours to do the rounds, past handset talk has claimed the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 replacement could play host to an optical zoom bragging camera. Tipped with 3x optical zoom credentials, the Note 3 could potentially offer improved photographic capabilities while adding little to the handset’s bulk.
Although Samsung is to hold a designated mobile themed launch event in London later this month, a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date is widely expected to be held around the time of IFA 2013 in early September.
