Android Wear

A new update to Android Wear makes it possible to find your Android phone with your smartwatch.

Google launched Android Device Manager back in 2013, enabling Android users to locate their lost phones on their computers.

Now Google has announced that it has extended Android Device Manager's functionality to its Android Wear smartwatch OS.

All you need to do is say 'Ok, Google. Start. Find my phone' to your Android Wear smartwatch - or simple select the Find my phone option from the Start menu if you don't want to look like an idiot - and your lost phone will ring at full volume.

Obviously it won't be much use if you left said phone on the train or in a pub, but for those frequent time-sapping round-the-house misplacements, it should be a very handy tool indeed.

Of course, with the need to take your watch off and lay it down to charge every night, there's the increased chance that you might lose your Android Wear smartwatch as well. Still, every little helps, eh?

There's no need to do anything to get this new feature - it'll be rolling out to all Android Wear devices over the next few weeks.
