Amazon has announced it plans to roll out its one-hour delivery service in two new locations.
People living in the US cities of Baltimore and Miami will be joining Manhattan locals as eligible for the Prime Now service.
The service first appeared in New York last September, landing as Amazon’s quickest available delivery option.
Users can select two options with Prime Now; free two-hour delivery, or one-hour delivery for $7.99.
Dave Clark, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations, said: “Customers in Manhattan and Brooklyn love Prime Now – it means you can skip a trip to the store and get the items you need delivered right to your door in under an hour.”
“Since launching, we’ve seen high demand on everything from essentials like water and paper towels to more surprising deliveries like getting a customer a hard-to-find, top-selling toy in 23 minutes – we are excited to continue delivering to customers in record-breaking time.”

It’s worth noting that Prime Now can only be used to purchase a select number of products, with the deliveries handled by partnered courier services.
Users will also need to download a dedicated Prime Now app – available on iOS and Android – to use the service, as it’s not accessible through the standard Amazon platform.
Deliveries are available seven days a week, but they’ll only come between 8am and 10pm – no late night orders, unfortunately.
While there’s still no word on a UK launch for the service, the expansion is certainly encouraging news.
At the very least, it means Amazon deemed its New York trial a success, which makes a UK version of Prime Now much more likely.
