HTC One Max pictured again, fingerprint sensor seemingly confirmed

The HTC One Max has been snapped again, this time spotted at a Verizon retail store complete with branding.

Pictured next to an iPhone 5 for a size comparison, the HTC One Max is tipped to launch sometime this month.

Although the images don’t reveal any more details surrounding the HTC One Max, the Verizon source has confirmed that the oversized HTC One will come with a removable back and offer an iPhone 5S Touch ID rivalling fingerprint sensor on the rear.

The Verizon branded HTC One Max falls completely in line with previous rumours that suggest the device will have the same design as the HTC One but with a larger 5.9-inch display.

Rumoured to launch on October 15, the same day as Apple is expected to unveil the new iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 tablets, the HTC One Max could be bigger than the 5.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The HTC One Max should have a 1080p Full HD resolution and come with a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Packing 16GB of internal storage, the HTC One Max should offer the same UltraPixel camera technology has the HTC One and HTC One mini.

It will also have the software features introduced with the latest HTC Sense UI, including HTC Zoe and HTC BlinkFeed, the aggregated news feed homepage.

Following in the design footsteps of the HTC One range, the supersized version will also have the dual front-facing HTC BoomSound stereo speakers.

Previous rumours and the latest Verizon tip support the inclusion of a rear fingerprint scanner in the HTC One Max, which could offer similar functionality to the Touch ID sensor in the home button of the iPhone 5S.

Unlike its siblings, it seems the HTC One Max will have a removable back panel, but there’s no indication the battery will be interchangeable too.
