Philips has just launched two new multi-room speakers that ship with built-in Spotify functionality.

Both the SW700M and its bigger brother, the SW750M, come with a dedicated Spotify button that proffers instant audio switchover from mobile to speaker.

The Spotifty Connect integration should make it easy to play Spotifty playlists across multiple rooms, without suffering time-sync lag.

For instance, if you’re listening to your favourite Taco Tuesday playlist in the kitchen while cooking up some tasty Mexican grub, you can hit the Spotify button in your dining room or lounge to transfer the jams when its time to chow down.

The SW700M is being peddled at £89.99 and boasts two 2.5-inch full-range drivers.

The larger SW750M, meanwhile, touts two 3-inch full-range drivers, with two tweeters to boot, pricing in at £129.99.

Both speakers also come with twin bass ports, with Philips talking up its latest fare’s sound quality as ‘clear, natural, and detailed.’

The systems require a one-time set up with the SpeakerSet app, giving mobile device control from anywhere in your house.

The new speakers are available exclusively from Amazon.co.uk, but they’re on sale right now and will launch in other stores starting Q1 next year.
