Sony Xperia Z1s pictured alongside full-sized sibling

A new Sony Xperia Z1s picture has leaked, with the rumoured handset shown alongside its full-sized Sony Xperia Z1 sibling.

With recent Sony Xperia Z1s rumours pointing to the smaller, 4.3-inch handset being readied for launch with the same high-end array of specs as the flagship Z1, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini rival has now been snapped in the wild for the first time.

A more manageable option than the 5-inch Z1, the mooted Sony Xperia Z1s first leaked through the Japanese manufacturer’s own website, with an official looking image of the handset appearing alongside a familiar array of innards.

While Samsung and HTC have offered ‘mini’ versions of their flagship handsets in recent months, the Sony Xperia Z1s looks set to play host to the full array of high-end features found within the full-sized iPhone 5S rival instead of a heavily reduced, mid-range collection.

Based on recent Sony Xperia Z1s leaks, the 4.3-inch phone will see a 1080p Full HD display line up alongside a speedy quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20.3-megapixel rear-mounted camera.

Further Sony Xperia Z1s specs tipped to make an appearance include 2GB of RAM, Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat OS and the streamlined, waterproof coating now present on most new Sony smartphones and tablets.

Although a range of Sony Xperia Z1s rumours are currently doing the rounds, it is currently unclear when a Z1s release date will be held.
