GTA 5 coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in June, claims retailer

GTA 5 is tipped to arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in June, according to a German retailer.

We haven’t heard rumours about the next-gen and PC versions of GTA 5 for a little while now, but a German retail manager has just given us a loose release date.

According to “Tech Nick”, manager of German electronic retailer Saturn.de, all three GTA 5 versions will arrive sometime in June.

“The release of GTA 5 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 is expected in June #rumours”, tweeted Tech Nick.

Although he claims this is just a rumour, someone with a senior retail position could have information laced with some truth.

In March 2014, Portuguese online retailer Worten launched a paid pre-order page for GTA 5 on PS4, which has now been taken down.

When contacted directly, a Worten spokesperson explained “we have the information that Worgen stores will sell the game in question.”

At the end of 2013, both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game were listed on Amazon Germany before being swiftly removed.

Despite an ever expanding petition for a PC edition of GTA 5 (which now has over 680,000 signatures), Rockstar hasn’t mentioned a PC or next-gen version of the game since it was launched in September 2013.

“We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now,” said Rockstar Games in July 2013.

However, the developer did add that it would work to bring GTA 5 to PS4 and Xbox One, if it became an “appropriate business opportunity.”

Seeing as the PS4 sales have apparently jumped 106 per cent since the release of inFamous: Second Son, with the last recorded figure at 6 million worldwide for the PS4 in March. At the end of December, over 3 million for the Xbox One consoles had been sold.
