Call of Duty: Ghosts retains UK All Format Gaming Chart crown

Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts has retained top spot in the UK All Format Gaming Chart for a second successive week despite a 76 per cent drop in week-on-week sales.

Despite plummeting sales figures, COD: Ghosts has rounded out the week ending November 16 atop the UK sales chart, seeing off competition from Warner Bros’ Lego Marvel Superheroes. The Lego themed action game was the week’s highest new entry, debuting in second spot.

Continuing to be a mainstay of the All Format Gaming Chart ahead of the next-gen console releases, FIFA 14 has risen one place to round out the week’s podium positions.

With no further new entries breaking in to the top ten, the rest of the leading Gaming Chart positions are a familiar sight, with former chart toppers Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Battlefield 4 slumping to fourth and fifth spots respectively.

With another former chart topper, GTA 5 suffering a further 11 per cent decline in weekly sales to see it drop to sixth, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has risen one place to seventh on the back of an 8 per cent week-on-week sales boost.

As the race for the coveted Christmas number one slot grows nearer, the Activision’s Skylanders Swap Force has climbed two places to eighth.

The week’s leading chart positions are rounded out by Batman: Arkham Origins and Nintendo’s Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy in spots nine and ten respectively.
