Tesco offering 12-months free unlimited broadband for limited period

Tesco is offering 12-months free unlimited broadband if you take a Tesco home phone line for 12 months.

For anyone signing up for a Tesco Homephone contract for £14.90 per month for 12 months, they’ll automatically get free unlimited broadband for the same period.

Of course, there’s always a catch for a free offer, but Tesco’s year free broadband offer is still pretty tempting this close to Christmas.

The broadband package offered has no download limits and achieves top speeds of 14Mb, but is only available until December 1 as it is a “get it before it’s gone” package.

As part of the package you’ll get free basic voicemail, inclusive evening and weekend calls and free calls to other Tesco customers.

You’ll also earn Tesco Clubcard points for every £1 you spend in your homephone and broadband bill.

A router is thrown in for free, and Tesco particularly highlights its UK-based call centre in case anything goes wrong.

Some new customers may have to pay a £35 for delivery and phone line activation combined, so bear that in mind before making your purchase.

When signing up for the new offer, you’ll be able to choose a 12 month contract or a 30-day rolling contract. However, for the second option you will be required to pay a one-off set up cost of £40.

The free broadband is certainly an attractive offer when compared to other service providers, who all charge similar figures for a home phone line. For example, Sky charges £15.40 per month, BT will cost you £15.45 per month and Virgin Media’s line rental is £14.99.

In comparison, Tesco’s is a pretty good deal, especially with free broadband included as well.
