Asus looks to be readying its second wearable device for release, and it’s called the VivoWatch.
The Taiwanese tech giant has set up a site dedicated to teasing the upcoming smartwatch, although details are scant at this point.
The device appears to be a spin-off sequel to last year’s Asus ZenWatch, which took a more traditionalist approach to smartwatch design.
This latest offering errs significantly more on the fitness side of the smartwatch spectrum however, likely to appeal to the longstanding health-tech consumer demographic.

How does Asus achieve this? Well it’ll do the usual fitness tracking, as well as heart rate monitoring and sleep-tracking, at least according to Engadget.
We also know that the VivoWatch will rock a rugged stainless steel body, and an IP67 water- and dust-resistant rating.
Perhaps the headline feature of the VivoWatch, however, is that it’s tipped to boast a 10-day battery life – that certainly trumps the 18-hour life of the Apple Watch.
It’s worth noting that this impressive battery life is largely thanks to a power-saving black-and-white display, which should keep energy draining to a minimum.
Asus looks set to unveil the product at an event in Milan starting tomorrow, running all the way up to April 19.
It seems as though the event will be open to the public between 10am and 9pm local time.
We’ve asked for more information on the matter from Asus.
