Following the phone’s CES 2015 unveiling, LG has confirmed that its innovative new LG G Flex 2 handset is heading to the UK.

A direct follow-on to the 2013-released original G Flex, the new model pairs LG’s innovative, flexible Plastic OLED display with Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor.

For those interested in the left-field smartphone, the Korean manufacturer has now confirmed that the LG G Flex 2 UK release date will be held in ‘late February’.

Although LG has confirmed the Galaxy Note Edge rival and LG G3 sibling will be handed a pre-MWC in-store release, an exact date of launch is still unclear.

Similarly, finalised LG G Flex 2 pricing is yet to be announced, although LG has suggested the handset will land with a ‘premium’ price tag.

As well its headline-grabbing 700 radius curve, the G Flex 2 packs and impressive, market-leading specs sheet.

Lining up alongside the 2.0GHz, octa-core chipset is 3GB of RAM, a 3000mAh battery, 13-megapixel, OIS-enhanced camera and Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

“The original G Flex demonstrated LG’s pioneering spirit and with the G Flex2 we have refined the curved form factor, staying true to our philosophy of innovation for a better life,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

“The G Flex2 not only has the stunning looks, it also has the powerful guts to be at the cutting edge of current smartphone technology. Simply put, it’s a true head-turner in every sense of the word.”
