Android 5.0 update plans are starting to come through thick and fast, and now HTC is jumping on the Lollipop-themed bandwagon.

According to the folks over at TechTastic.nl, the manufacturer has revealed the HTC One M8 Android 5.0 update will start rolling out from January 3.
While exact regions for the first phase of the update introduction are currently unclear, it has been suggested the 2013-released HTC One (M7) will be handed the latest Google OS on the same day.
Announced alongside the Nexus 6 back in late-September, Android 5.0 Lollipop introduces a number of major updates and improvements to Google’s dominant operating system.
Kicking off with the new Magazine design, further Lollipop features include the introduction of 64-bit processor support and improved battery management.
Last month a selection of leaked images popped up online showing how Android Lollipop would look running alongside HTC’s Sense UI.
With the Nexus 6 having hit UK retailers earlier this month with Lollipop in tow, yesterday saw LG G3 handsets tied to Vodafone handed the Android 5.0 update.
