Audio manufacturer Bose may be looking to follow its great rival Beats into the music streaming game, judging by reports on Monday.

A Hypebot report notes the American audio company is seeking a senior user experience designer to work within its cloud music services division.

The successful candidate will “lead design and prototyping of our next generation streaming music platform and ecosystem of products."

Intriguingly, the company added it intends to move quickly on the project, which will ‘have a lasting impact.’

The listing says: “Join us to invent and realise exceptional experiences that will enable millions of customers to rediscover their love of music"

"We will move quickly and have an immediate and lasting impact on Bose’s streaming music products.”

The rediscovering music element of the listing is particularly intriguing. Could Bose be planning to launch an audiophile-grade streaming experience that ups the ante on the likes of Spotify and Apple-owned Beats Music? Might the company be looking to build a streaming service directly into one of its portable audio solutions?

Bose wants someone who has worked at one of the leading streaming giants and will not consider applications from newbies.
