A new Android Wear update has been launched, bringing a number of subtle improvements to Moto 360 wearers.
Android Wear 4.4W.2 has rolling out to smartwatches, and Motorola has taken to its official blog to reveal some of the improvements that Moto 360 owners can expect to see from it.
Perhaps one of the biggest issues with the Moto 360 (and pretty much every advanced smartwatch, for that matter) is battery life. The new Android Wear software update for the Moto 360 introduces Smart Battery Saving, which switches off ambient mode when battery life hits 15 percent.
The other interesting tweak relates to notifications. Now, you'll be able to return to the watch face (which is still a smartwatch's primary function, after all) without dismissing the a notification entirely by tapping at the top of a notification and swiping down.
Other additions include more regular time checks, so your Moto 360 will synchronise with your smartphone more often. Also, when charging (which is pretty much half the time), the Moto 360 will adjust its light to that of the room.
It seems Google is also laying the groundwork for connecting Android Wear smartwatches to Bluetooth headsets with this latest release, and there's the usual bout of bug squishing.
In order to make the update, ensure that your Moto 360 (or presumably any other Android Wear smartwatch) is connected to your phone and at least 80 percent charged.
